Lovebirds

August 29, 2012 - How It Looks So Far

This is the way that it looks so far. You need shoes if you want to go in the water - due to the zebra mussels. Mike is bringing a canoe and a Kayak.

Amy is bringing her two person dinghy with a trolling motor. The intent is to get a wedding picture in front of a beautiful, calm orange sunset. After that picture, we will tear up our clothes and we will crawl up on the beach as if ship wrecked like Mary Ann and the Professor while you guys are throwing water at us. Well, maybe not. We might save our clothes and get another picture taken.

In Lieu of gifts, we want you all to fork over gas cash to Exxon Mobile and attend! Also, the wedding party is feeding itself. We already have enough that no one will starve. We want everyone to pitch in and make it a party that makes everybody smile when they remember it. For instance, if the man that used to be the groom gets up late on Sunday morning, someone can chef up some omelets for Amy's crew. I excel at run-on sentences. Well, one cool gift would be for everyone to be on the lookout for hearts. We would like our guests to gather some keychain sized hearts. Stickers are OK just be on the lookout.

One month until Amy marries Timmy. That is part of todays news. Everyone wants a cottage. We are going to extend - if possible - our Saturday night cottages to Friday night. We are visiting the inside of the beach house for the first time this Sunday. We need to find out their pots and pans story since you guys are throwing us our wedding. Amy and Timmy are doing their best to deliver delight to all attendees.

June 28, 2012 - How It Looks So Far

This is the way that it looks so far. We have a ring and a date. Plus more. We have a church, large beach house, and 3 of Legs Inn's cabins. We have cabins 4 and 5. Amy needs to confirm cabin 3. She can say, "Those guys may be loud, but I am willing to provide insulation between them and numbers 1 and 2."

The large beach house advertises that it sleeps 16 and the cabins each have 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed in each bedroom. Should be fine for our intimate gathering. We have a 150 ft beach on Sturgeon Bay with a large fire pit which is intending to be used.

The beach is full of Zebra Mussels, so shoes or sandles are necessary. The house is quite close to the beach.

There was plenty of wood when we visited but we haven't explicitly agreed with the landlord that we are going to burn it - yet. Other than around the fire pit and the beach, the front yard is largely overrun with dune grass. We can't play volley ball there. The back side is wooded and full of parking. The parking limit at Cedar Bend is five cars. I don't know of any parking limits at the Legs cottages. The cottages are about 1 mile away on the same dirt road. The deck is fabulous. 500 or more square feet on the upper level. See the picture that I assign. If it is nice out, it will be a hang out. It is close to the kitchen and dining facilities. In the basement there is an air hockey table. I have only surveyed the house from the outside. We need to bring our own towels. We have the beach house on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The cottages, we only have on the 29th.

If the Legs cottages are less than a mile. The church is one mile.

June 30, 2012 - How It Looks So Far Part 2

Legs Inn is a stones throw from the church. The church has no restroom facilities, but Legs Inn does. Legs Inn opened at noon when we were there on June 10th. The township hall also has restrooms. We are not 100% sure that they will be open but will try to find out and ensure that it is open. All this about bathrooms and we have bathrooms at Legs cottages too.

The wedding ceremony will not even last 2 hours. We are pretty sure that it will be less than 30 minutes. Ha, ha.
